Music at St. Luke’s
Please note: The following overview of our music program describes our offerings during normal times. During the pandemic, offerings are more restricted. Please contact Nicholas Mourlam to learn what music opportunities we’re currently offering during these challenging times.
St. Luke’s offers a rich variety of music as part of our worship program. Our 10:00 service includes hymns accompanied by organ, and sometimes a choir, or a string trio. Some services include guest musicians such as vocal soloists or trumpet players. We even have a special Fourth of July service wherein The Rev. Ernest Cockrell plays the snare drum. In addition to the music offered in the services, Nicholas Mourlam, our music director, periodically treats us to concerts on either piano or organ. These are open to the public.
St. Luke’s Adult Choir
Summer Volunteer Music Service Project
During the summer, Susie Fleming and Pat Welch help coordinate a volunteer music service project. An ad hoc choir is formed of congregation members who want to connect with our community through music.
