Outreach
All God has given us is meant to be shared, not hoarded. We are committed to making life a bit better for our brothers and sisters in need, knowing that our soul will also be fed in the process.
The Food Pantry at St. Luke’s has served weekly hot meals to our homeless neighbors for over 25 years. A small group of stalwart volunteers continues to provide food, clothing, support, and other necessities to our homeless neighbors in Los Gatos during the pandemic.
St. Luke’s also supports Santa Maria Urban Ministry, which provides food, clothing, and tutoring to the underserved in San Jose, continuing to do so throughout our months of lockdown.
Our Outreach Team organizes service projects for parishioners to undertake, including Habitat for Humanity projects, Advent Giving Tree gifts at the holidays, fundraisers for homeless and food-insecure San Jose State University students, food-packaging rallies, and other undertakings. We look forward to returning with a vengeance once this pandemic lockdown lifts.
