We will celebrate All Saints’ Sunday in church on November 3 at 10:00 a.m. This liturgy will include the usual Renewal of Our Baptismal Covenant and all the festive music for this feast day. But there will be two big exceptions:
• We will baptize River Christopher Williams at this service, two days after his first birthday! Because we are expecting up to 33 guests, please give them a Great St. Luke’s Welcome and make space for them in the back of the church, where they will sit as a group.
• Please bring photos of deceased loved ones, preferably framed with a stand and no larger than 8×10 inches, to place on our Altar of Saints at the front of the church. We invite you to process to the front at the beginning of the service during the (long) opening hymn, once the altar party has come up the aisle, and set your photos on the small altars provided there. You can have someone do that for you if steps are a challenge. Those deceased saints who have guided us will be with us again in spirit! (Please do remember to take your saints home with you after the service.)
